Erin O’Brien is a fashion and apparel designer and artist interested in circularity and sustainability. She is always interested in new projects, especially seemingly difficult or impossible ones. With a love of construction and design puzzles, she was likely an engineer or mad scientist in another life.
Hi, I’m Erin. I’ve studied fashion for as long as I can remember. Academically, I have backgrounds in fashion design, textiles, fine arts, and printmaking. After university, I worked for several years with children that had experienced trauma. Wanting to have fashion design and creativity play a central role in my life, I returned to school to pursue a master’s degree in fashion, focusing on sustainability in the industry.
My interests and work center around circularity, alternative fibers, trend forecasting, innovation, psychology of dress, sustainability, and the future of fashion.
Whenever possible, I enjoy traveling, being outdoors, spending time with my pup Keva, and just about any sport activity; the favorites: running, rock climbing, weightlifting, and yoga.
